Why do you LOVE Pilates Sarah?
I love the core strength and the mindset pilates gives you really extends into your day to day. Control, focus, determination and progress through intention and practice. It’s not about superficial muscles, it’s about the foundation muscles. When I was young scoliosis was a problem for me. Practicing reformer pilates actually helped me to reduce it by six degrees.
How did you start instructing at RTR Pilates?
I was a client with RTR for just over a year when Leeor approached me about teaching. I’ve been practicing pilates for eighteen years and it’s always been a dream of mine to teach reformer pilates. I was really excited when Leeor asked me if I wanted to teach and have just been loving it ever since.
When you’re not teaching, where can we find you?
Sleeping.
Top 3 artists/songs for your Pilates music playlist:
VHS Collection, Post Malone, NoMBe.
Favorite Pilates exercise/movement & why?
Supine arms & abs! I like that it’s a full body workout. You can really feel progress through this exercise. There are so many great variations and I love the coordination between breath and abdominal engagement.
What’s the one thing you want your clients to feel when/after taking your class?
I want my clients to feel like all their muscles really got worked – also a clear head space and a connection to their body.
