The Director of Training & Development will be responsible for leading the development and growth of all instructors at RTR Pilates, ensuring that our team is equipped with the skills, knowledge, and resources they need to succeed. This role includes overseeing the RTR Academy, managing the instructor training process, creating and mapping out content, and implementing strategies that foster professional growth across the studio. The Director will work closely with General Managers (GMs) to support the development of each instructor.
Major Roles:
- Lead and manage team of development consultants, lead instructors, and training instructors
- RTR Academy Management:
- Strategy around timing and schedule
- Session & content mapping
- Lead half of the scheduled training sessions
- Management of Academy materials
- Development Oversight
- Strategy around instructor development needs
- Coordinate with GMs on quarterly/annual reviews
- Lead 4 development hours/week
Requirements:
- 1+ Years of teaching at RTR Pilates.
- Trained through the RTR Pilates Training Program/Academy.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
- Passion for fitness, with a knowledge of industry trends and best practices

- Coaching & Mentoring: A strong desire and capability to mentor and coach others, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure continuous growth and development.
- Communication: Clear and open communication with staff and management. A willingness to listen to the needs and feedback from both instructors, trainees, and clients while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
- Organizational & Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term plans for instructor training. Exceptional organizational skills to manage content development, training sessions, and team coordination
- Industry Knowledge & Expertise: A deep understanding for the RTR Method and style of teaching, with a commitment to staying up-to-date with industry trends, teaching innovations, and fitness education best practices.
Salary & Benefits:
- $85,000/year
