PILATES FOR MOTHER'S DAY

Moms do a lot for us. And they wear a lot of hats. Caregiver, carpooler, child-rearer, cook, coach – she’s basically like Superwoman. All these roles can do a number on stress levels, so give Mom a much-needed break and let her relax with the perfect present for Mother’s Day—Pilates classes at Potomac Pilates.

Whether she prefers the slower place of a Level 1 class or the heart-pumping circuit training of a Level 3, Mom can customize her class schedule to fit her personal life. Pilates class can be both a boost of energy at the start of the day and a way to unwind at the end of a long one. For 55 minutes, Mom gets her “me time” while strengthening, lengthening and stretching her muscles. She might come in looking to achieve the physical benefits of reformer Pilates, but consistent practice can also profoundly benefit stress regulation through the breathing techniques, body awareness, concentration, relaxation and balance associated with Pilates.

In addition to the physical and mental benefits of Pilates, class provides an opportunity to socialize and meet other like-minded DC Pilates enthusiasts, make new friends, or spend time with current ones. It’s a great mother-daughter or husband-wife activity, too, so if you’re looking for a gift you can participate in, give Mom some friendly competition and loop up beside her for her next class.

If Mom’s already a Potomac Pilates regular, treat her to her next month’s unlimited membership and throw in some of our chic workout wear to jazz up her fitness attire. If she’s new to Pilates and has been meaning to start up her workout regime, let her sample with a ten-point package. (We’re pretty sure she’ll fall in love.)

Visit our online store to purchase a gift certificate and treat your mom like the superhero she is this Mother’s Day—plus, the Pilates classes won’t hurt in building her super strength!

Cheers,

Reina
