A lifelong athlete, Maryland native, avid traveler, outdoor enthusiast, dog lover, mom of three and loyal client to RTR from the beginning, Shelley found that Pilates complements her active lifestyle. Pilates increases core strength, improves muscle imbalances, flexibility and can transform a body from bulky to long and lean....who cannot benefit from all of that?! Shelley's love of Pilates led her to complete Rock The Reformer Pilates instructor training. She hopes to help clients find their Pilates passion (and powerhouse!) while attending one of her classes.

Kara Parmelee

Kara is a former finance lawyer, and now consults in strategic crisis and risk management. She loves Pilates because it helps her find a different groove and connect with her body in a new way. She began taking classes in 2014, and it has been the most fun and rewarding exercise she has discovered.
 
When she first started, her body felt lethargic with creaky joints but Pilates has changed that dramatically. It has strengthened her body and increased her flexibility without fear of injury.
 
The RTR Pilates team has always been supportive, cheerful, funny, informative, and varied. Kara couldn't be more thrilled now to be part of such a fantastic group, and looks forward to helping her clients find their own groove. Just like she found hers.

Michele Bouquet

Michele is a native Washingtonian and lifelong fitness enthusiast. She began doing Pilates over 15 years ago and it soon became her primary form of resistance training when Rock The Reformer by Potomac Pilates first opened. She has been attending reformer classes daily ever since. When the opportunity presented itself to participate in RTR Instructor Training, she leapt at it. She has also completed the Balanced Body certification training for anatomy, mat and reformer. Michele is able to use her many years of knowledge from weight training, TRX, Pilates and yoga to create challenging classes that help others reach their fitness goals. When she’s is not teaching, Michele can be found taking long bike rides and working on her library of Pilates classes.

Jordan Matosko

Jordan is a teacher for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She found that her job, while rewarding, could also be pretty stressful. She was never super into fitness, but was looking for something to help calm her mind and spirit after those long stressful days. Jordan had tried many different workouts and classes, but nothing ever stuck. Then her friend, who was an instructor at the time, recommended trying a class at Potomac Pilates. After that first class, she was hooked. Jordan loved that she had an hour every day where she could unplug, unwind, and focus on getting her mind and body healthy. Her love for Pilates, and the entire Potomac Pilates team never stopped after that. She continued to take classes regularly and decided that she had to join this hardworking, dedicated team! She hopes to help other’s find the amazing release that Pilates has brought to her own life.

Cathy Sharma

Cathy discovered Pilates as a way to improve her strength and flexibility. After years spent weight training, playing golf, downhill skiing and practicing Tae Kwon Do, she loved the way Pilates helped improve her knee and hip injuries and improve her muscle strength while promoting balance and alignment. But more importantly, she discovered that Pilates is fun!

Trained in mat and reformer through Balanced Body and a member of the Pilates Method Alliance, Cathy loves teaching ALL levels of Pilates because of the results it provides as well as the way it connects the mind and body. Cathy has a Master’s degree in speech/language pathology and loves to spend time with her husband, three children and three dogs at their home in Potomac.

You'll move quickly through a series of challenging exercises for an intense and exciting workout.
