I joined the RTR Pilates team in 2011 as a trained Pilates instructor through Balanced Body. I have an extensive background in exercise, dance and yoga with experience teaching students of all ages and levels of ability in both studio and private settings. I also teach structural and functional anatomy for both yoga and pilates teacher trainings and I hold a BFA in Dance from the University of California.

Tanya discovered and fell in love with Pilates a few months after moving to Maryland. She attended both Mat and Reformer Pilates classes and was amazed at the “whole body” approach and results… leaving her with a feeling of strength and rejuvenation. She believed in the practice and the results so much that she wanted to share it with others and began teaching Mat Pilates and Yoga classes four and a half years ago. Since then, Tanya participated in and completed the inaugural Potomac Pilates instructor training course and now teaches reformer Pilates classes regularly for Potomac Pilates. She loves the relaxed atmosphere and family feel at the studios with both clients and fellow staff. Tanya especially loves meeting new clients and helping them progress in their Pilates practice. “I am continually amazed at how quickly a client can improve and see results from Pilates. That ‘aha moment’ is such a joy to see and I love being able to help our clients find their just-right challenge.”

*HAPPY HOUR* This class is a great deal! A "Happy Hour" Level 2 Circuit Training Class is a class that is offered at half price (only $20 for drop-ins); otherwise it is just like a regular Level 2 Circuit Training Class.

This all-in-one class is a challenging, fast paced workout for Intermediate clients. You'll burn fat by working into cardio intervals while also toning, and lengthening muscles with traditional Pilates exercises. If you feel like you have exercise ADD, this class is for you. By moving quickly between exercises, using a plethora of props, and incorporating a unique combination exercises, this class is never boring and always a challenge. This class will use the Pilates equipment and Jump Board to strengthen your core, improve posture and tone your entire body.
